Sipnosis :
Death Tube is a movie about a internet horror show that depicts real people, in real time for streaming online. It goes like this: you watch it once, then chances are you'll probably end up there. This movie is made by the same people that made "Grotesque" and even though its narrative and style may vary a lot, there are some elements in common; like the similarities to "Saw". While Grotesque got a very serious tone, Death Tube is totally sick and sarcastic but at the same time, counts on a massive amount of slapstick humor scenes. It's not a film to be taken seriously. It actually goes as close as a spoof to the original Saw movies sometimes. It does not have a lot of gore scenes as the art cover may suggest, and its not nearly as violent as other Japanese movies. Overall, its a fun movie, but totally nonsense and you have to be in the right mood to watch it. If you want to find something serious and philosophical here like the meaning of life, don't bother watching it. But in case you're in for a funny Japanese flick , then you might wanna try it.

This film proves that if a story is about weird people who engage in unusual business, that doesn't mean that the story itself cannot be very predictable. But is also proves that a very predictable story that's acted out well enough can still make an entertaining movie.

This film aired on Dutch national television, and I watched it with my mother, which was a but awkward because it contains quite a few very explicit sex-scenes. (to a degree I hadn't seen on dutch national television yet) To me it seemed these scenes were useful to tell the story, because one of the themes is that the main character is kind of alienated from a normal sex-life. But I can imagine people not agreeing on that...
What made me like the film is the acting of most of the (young) cast.
The movie seems to balance on the thin line between brave and pretentious.
A compliment for the very well synchronized violin-playing

I found this movie to be relatively entertaining but not fantastic. This movie revolves around a really dark hotel. This movie is rather unique as it has the elements of comedy, horror and fantasy. The idea used in this movie about this dog-human hybridisation was very original and interesting. This idea was not used in other horror movies before. The dark and tense atmosphere used in this movie was great. There were a few jumpy scenes. This movie has its mystery elements and has a rather decent storyline. The acting in this movie was quite good, although the acting of the creepy girl in the movie was very poor. The fantasy land used in this movie was quite interesting and original. I love the scary scene where one of the main characters vomited white gory stuff, followed by blood, and then his tongue. He seemed to be possessed. I thought this scene was done very well and was really scary. However, there are also flaws in this movie as well. This movie does not build terror and fear very effectively. It gets less and less scary towards the end of the movie. The ending for this movie requires a whole lot of explanation as it was just so confusing.The movie was too fast paced to be scary. There were many scary scenes in this movie. Some of the scenes were very memorable. I would prefer this movie to build tension and fear around the beginning of the movie with some scary scenes, and let it get scarier and scarier towards the end of the movie.This movie did not manage to build terror and fear towards the end of the movie. This movie should have its scariest scenes towards the end ofthe movie and not end the movie with some very touching stuff. This movie tries to be touching towards the end but did not manage to do so. This movie does not have any suspenseful moments. Hence, this movie did not manage to be as well made as ringu, Ju-on or One Missed Call. Overall, I found this to be an average movie with some entertaining scenes.

Luke meets Lists (Frederick Koehler), who annoys him by over-analyzing everything, Goldberg (Danny Trejo), Rocco (Joe Vaz). Hosting Death Match is September Jones (Lauren Cohan), a former Miss Universe who lost her crown due to allegations of having a sexual relationship with one of its judges. She now works for The Weyland Corporation to create profit from the pay per view subscribers of Death Match. When a convict tries to stab Lists (because of his nature and weakness, as he was convicted only of conning), Luke defends him.

Luke is approached in the showers by September, who proposes that he fight. When he refuses, she makes sexual advances towards him, which he pretends to go before refusing. As revenge, September picks Lists to fight the convict who tried to stab him earlier. When Luke confronts her while Lists is running during the event, she refuses to help and he jumps over a barbed fence to fights for Lists. He is joined by Katrina Banks (Tanit Phoenix), a woman convict who is serving as a ring girl with other women convicts, who hits the convict with the round number sign made of metal. A riot breaks out during the fight between Luke and the convict because of racism, as Luke is white and the other convict is black. The convicts break down the fence to get in, and some of the rapists attack and attempt to rape female convicts. Katrina defends herself and helps the other women, who are then evacuated. The riot control guards come and Luke surrenders. Markus, worried that Luke will trade info on his crimes for immunity, discovers his location at Terminal Island. Afterwards, Luke sees Katrina.

Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter and miserly old moneylender, holds everything that embodies the joys and spirit of Christmas in contempt, keeping to himself and being nasty to people. Scrooge's buisness partner Jacob Marley has died and Scrooge is paying a man for his coffin. He pays him a very small amount and leaves. He walks throughout Victorian England, and as he passes people by everyone becomes quiet and frightend. He walks into his place of buisness and slams the door shut.

Seven Christmas Eve's later, he is still as bitter as he was before. He has an employee named Cratchit who is very poor and can barley afford food for his family. Scrooges nephew walks into the shop and asks to join him for dinner at his house, scrooge gives him an unfriendly christmas hum-bug and tells him to leave. Closing time comes and Cratchit leaves. Scrooge closes up shop and goes home.

That night, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who is now forced to spend his afterlife carrying heavy chains forged from his own greedy ways. Scrooge looks out the window and sees many more ghosts suffering the same fate. Marley warns Scrooge that he will suffer an even worse fate if he doesn't repent, and foretells that he will be haunted by three spirits that will help guide him.

The first spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Past, a small ghost made of fire, shows Scrooge visions of his own past that take place on or around the Christmas season, reminding him of how he ended up the greedy man he is now. He had spent much of his childhood neglected by his father over the holidays at boarding school until he was finally brought home by his loving sister Fan, who died prematurely after giving birth to his nephew Fred. Scrooge later began a successful career in business and moneylending and became engaged to a woman named Belle, though she later called off the engagement when he began to grow obsessed with accumulating his own wealth. Unable to bear having to witness these events again, Scrooge extinguishes the spirit. (The spirit sends scrooge soaring over london and he crashes through his ceiling into his bed)

Scrooge walks into a room, and finds it is covered in christmas decorations. The ghost of christmas present is in there waiting for him.

The Ghost of Christmas Present shows Scrooge the happiness of his fellow men on Christmas day. Among them are his nephew Fred, who playfully makes jokes with his family at Scrooge's expense, and Bob Cratchit and his family, who are just barely able to make do with what little pay Scrooge gives Cratchit. The Cratchits also tend to a sickly young son, Tiny Tim, whose commitment to the spirit of Christmas touches Scrooge, who is dismayed to learn from the spirit that he may not have much longer to live. Before the spirit vanishes, it warns Scrooge about the evils of Ignorance and Want, showing them as terrifying, uncivilized children doomed to grow into savage, despicable individuals. The ghost then withers away into dust.

The third and final spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, shows Scrooge the final consequences of his greed. Tiny Tim has died, leaving the Cratchits to mourn him on Christmas. Scrooge has also died, though there is more comfort than grief in the wake of his funeral. In addition, Fred finds benefit from inheriting his wealth, and Scrooge is even robbed by his former maid. Unwilling to let this grim future come to pass, Scrooge begs to be given a second chance as the spirit forces him into his deep and empty grave leading all the way to Hell.

Scrooge awakens to find himself in his bed on Christmas morning, the three spirits having guided him over the course of one night, and immediately sets out to atone for his sins, making donations to the poor, attending Fred's dinner party, and giving Cratchit a raise to care for his family, allowing Tiny Tim to live. Scrooge spends the remainder of his life a new man embodying the spirit of Christmas itself.

Sypnosis :

Being a low budget movie doesn’t hinder Oneechanbara on making good quality scenes that could match any game adaptation movies. The acting is pretty cool considering Eri Otoguro a gravure idol. But come to think of it, Aya rarely speaks so her acting is more prominent.

Considering the movie as a gore, there’s little to minimal gore at all in the movie, unlike the Oneechanbara VorteX movie. So you can be safe from having a feeling of your stomach turning upsidedown. LOL. That’s why as much as possible, I don’t want to watch gore movies. XD

Overall, I can rate the move 4 stars over 5. Why? Because there’s some questions left unanswered, like “why is Aya only wearing a bikini and cowboy hat?”, “why is Reiko’s shotgun have unlimited ammunition (did she used a cheat ^^)?”, and Maria’s back story.
